This 2.5 acre country garden was already previously landscaped by the client. My brief was to re-design an existing large border which was under-performing during the winter months.
The existing Acer palmatum ‘Bloodgood’, Eucalyptus gunnii and Magnolia grandiflora were to be retained but the existing herbaceous plants were to be either incorporated or used elsewhere.
The border formed the backdrop of views from the kitchen/ dining area of the property which was the main hub of the house. It was important to specify soft landscaping that would interest all year round whilst changing with the seasons.
